Our Story!

 

Malayali Association of Perth (MAP)  is an incorporated not-for-profit organisation,  located in Perth, Western Australia. It was established in 2007 to support the Malayali community, through various cultural, recreational and social activities.

MAP celebrated its 10th anniversary  in 2017

​

People hailing from the state of  Kerala in India are referred to as Malayalis, the name originating from their mother tongue Malayalam. 

Kerala is the first state in India to achieve 100% literacy. Keralities are spread across all nations.

🌟 What MAP Perth Stands For

​

Cultural Preservation: MAP celebrates Kerala’s rich traditions, festivals like Onam and Vishu, and promotes Malayalam language and arts.


Community Building: It provides a platform for Malayalees in Perth to connect, socialize, and support each other.


Inclusivity: Anyone with a direct or indirect connection to Kerala is welcome to join.


Events & Engagement: Members enjoy access to cultural nights, youth meetups, sports tournaments, and more.


Support & Empowerment: MAP helps newcomers, students, and families settle into life in Perth, offering guidance and community support
